•   Chocolate Museum
 
The Chocolate Museum in Seogwipo, Jeju is the second largest chocolate museum in the world. Built using volcanic scoria unique to Jeju, the museum looks like an ancient castle and seems to complement the surrounding natural environment. The most popular exhibits in this museum housing a gallery, a theater, a cafe, a workshop, and a chocolate store are the gallery with various exhibits on chocolate and the workshop showing the chocolate-making process. The chocolate produced at the museum is available for both sampling and purchase. Particularly, a handmade chocolate collection from this museum makes a great gift to take away from Jeju.
 
•  Horse Riding
 
Jeju Island is an ideal place for raising horses. Throughout the year, there is little change in temperature and rainfall. This creates a more favorable condition for grasslands than on the mainland and feed crops can be grown even in winter. Throughout the island, you can easily find places that offer horse riding. With the help of a horse trainer, novices can take the beginner lesson of trotting inside a designated area.
 
•  Alive Museum
 
Standing in the fabulous French outdoor garden at Jungmun Tourist Complex, Alive Museum is Jeju's second 'trick art' museum to show optical illusion art, which consists of five different themes: Trick Art, Digital Art, Object Art, Sculpture Art, and Provence Art. Trick art renders two dimensional paintings in three dimensions by creating illusion. Each work looks differently when seen from different angles or spots. Its magic magnifies when seen from camera lenses. Visitors can take pictures with various fun poses blending nicely with exhibitions, giving you a special experience that will last a lifetime.

Hallim Park, one of the most popular tourist spots on Jeju Island, has a variety of gardens that can be enjoyed in any season. The park also faces the pleasant scenery of Biyangdo Island, Hyeopjae Beach and Geumneung Beach, giving a taste of the island's magnificent natural environment. Visitors can enjoy checking out Palm Tree Road, Jeju Stone and Bonsai Garden, Water Garden, Subtropical Botanic Garden and much more. The most famous tourist sites in Hallim Park are Hyeopjaegul and Ssangyonggul Caves known to be the only two-dimensional caves in the world. In addition, a folk village, children's amusement park and outdoor resort facilities make it enjoyable for both children and adults.

Established by AmorePacific Corporation, cosmetics company in September 2001, the O'sulloc Tea Museum is the first ever tea museum in Korea. The museum, located among the green tea plantations, is a place where visitors can experience Korean tea culture and many other interesting activities in an eco-friendly setting. At O'sulloc's garden, there is a splendid panoramic view of the largest tea farm in Korea. There is also a teahouse where you can enjoy fresh green tea.

Jeju Folk Village Museum was designed to accurately show a typical 19th century Jeju Island village. It offers an excellent glimpse into the lifestyle of Jeju's indigenous people. In the wake of the popularity of Korean TV dramas abroad, Daejanggeum Mini Theme Park was built in 2006 near the museum and has attracted countless visitors from Japan, China, and the rest of Asia since then. Indeed, Jeju Folk Village Museum is the island's main tourist attraction where customs of the old days can be explored.
 
•  Seongsan Sunrise Peak    UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site
 
Seongsan Sunrise Peak (also known as Seongsan Ilchulbong) is a lava cone with a giant crater that rose from under the sea as a result of a volcanic eruption about 100,000 years ago. It was designated National Monument N0.40 in 2000 and a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site in 2007. Located on the eastern coast of Jeju, the peak is one of the island's most recognizable landmarks and the signature tour course for WCHR 2014 that should not be missed. The name Seongsan, meaning "castle hill' in Korean, comes from its sloping form resembling a grand castle. And, it is the perfect spot to watch the sunrise, which is how it received its name, Ilchulbong (meaning sunrise peak in Korean). Also, Seongsan Sunrise Peak surrounded by bright yellow colored rapeseed flowers in spring is truly a sight to behold.

* Participants are kindly advised to wear light casual and shoes for walking as they will be climbing up some gentle slopes and steep stairs for about 30 minutes during the trip.

•  Yeongsil Trail (Hallasan National Park*)    UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, World Natural Heritage Site
 
One of the trails on Mt. Hallasan, Yeongsil is known as the best autumn foliage course in Hallasan. The trail is about 3.7 kilometers long, taking 2 hours one way. It starts from Yeongsil Rest Area and follows a relatively gentle slope lined with beautiful trees and autumn foliage for about a kilometer. After that, an uphill path emerges along steep mountain ridges. The first attraction of Yeongsil is a group of volcanic rocks collectively called Yeongsilgiam. These oddly shaped rocks are situated to the right of a big valley at 1,400 meters to 1,600 meters above sea level, soaring upwards towards the sky. The crater wall of Mt. Hallasan is another attraction of Yeongsil Trail. Pass the Sajebi Hill to get a glass of mineral spring water, and you will reach Eorimok to take the path downwards.

The mountain tracks are usually well maintained with wooden stairs, but it can get slightly difficult in some locations with moderate slopes causing mild sweating. Therefore, Participants are recommended to carry a handkerchief and wear a hat, comfortable clothes and proper hiking boots.

* Hallasan National Park
Hallasan stands out at the center of South Korea's southernmost island, boasting exquisite landscapes due to its varied volcanic topography and vegetation distribution ranging vertically through the subtropical, temperate, frigid and alpine zones. The special nature of this area led to its being designated and managed as a national park in 1970, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 2002, a World Natural Heritage Site in 2007.

•  Cheonjiyeon Waterfall
 
One of the three most famous waterfalls on Jeju Island, Cheonjiyeon (meaning a waterfall connecting the sky (Ch'eon) and land (ji)) receives a large number of tourists to get their picture taken with the falls in the background. Although there is one main area where water falls over the cliff, depending on how much rain has fallen recently, the stream may spread and cascade down at several points. A serene path leads from the park entrance back to the falls, following alongside the stream made by the waterfall, and separating the tourists from those coming and those leaving.
 
•  Utopia Road (Utopia-ro)
 
Utopia-ro is an arts and leisure cluster currently in development by local officials, who are looking to create an atmosphere that is stunning, vibrant but also carefree and tranquil. Utopia-ro is a circular road that stretches 4.3 kilometers with the Lee Jung-seop Art Museum at its mouth. The road used to be the 4.9-kilometer "Artists' Promenade,' but planners excluded the Seobok Exhibition Hall and the Jeongbang Waterfall.
 
•  MaeilOlle Traditional Market
 
Initially held every five days from 1965, the market turned into a regular market named SeogwipoMaeilOlle Market. The emergence of large-scale marts and modernized distribution chains had taken away customers, but the popularity of Olle path and the arrival of those wanting to walk on this natural road revitalized the market. Located in the downtown of Seogwipo in Jeju, the market is on the route of the 6th JejuOlle. A leisurely walk inside the market offers an Olle experience among people's daily lives.
 
•  Oedolgae
 
Oedolgae is an amazing rock 10 meters in circumference and 20 meters in height, which is actually volcanic basalt pillar jutting out of the ocean. Like other unusual-shaped rocks there's a legend associated with it a Korean general is said to have scared away Mongolian invaders by dressing the rock up to look like a giant soldier. It was also a filming location in the 2003 TV drama series, 'Daejangguem'. Fantastic rocks of Oedolgae and fields of reeds in the extensive ranch is a perfect place to go trekking.

•  JejuOlle Route 7
 
The JejuOlle, inspired by the famous Pilgrim's Trail (the Way of St. James or Camino de Santiago) in Spain, was made from the hidden, forgotten routes of JejuIsland, which cars cannot access. The Olle routes will take you to forests, mountains, beaches, and remote places and offer unrivaled views over Jeju's unique, dramatic, volcanic landscape. In particular, JejuOlle Route 7 along the coast is lined with pampas grass and various wildflowers and offers spectacular views. One section of the route was actually an old goat path, but was then turned into a walking path, becoming a well-loved section of the route with plenty of wildlife and plants.
 
•  Yakcheonsa Temple
 
The architectural style of Yakcheonsa Temple is reminiscent of that of Buddhist temples of the early Joseon Dynasty. Measuring an impressive 30-meter high and spanning a total area of 3,305 meters squared, it is the largest temple in the East. Upon entering Yakcheonsa Temple, guests will be greeted by a 5-meter-tall statue of Vairocana, the tallest of such statues in Korea, on a 4-meter high pedestal. Beloved for its size and grandeur, the temple consists of a main temple (2,652 meters squared) and a 3-story residential structure for the Buddhist monks. Yakcheonsa Temple is not only popular among Buddhists but is also a well sought after tourist destination.
 
•  Yongmeori Coast (Dragon Head Coast)    UNESCO Global Geoparks
 
Dragon Head Coast, situated at the bottom of Mount Sanbang, was named so because it resembles a dragon jumping into the ocean with its head high. As the area was formed out of underwater volcanic explosions, there are a number of great sights such as Haesikgul (a cave formed from marine erosion), and Dolgae (lithoid crab) holes.It is composed of layered sandstone and visitors marvel at this uniquely beautiful coastline.
 
•  Mt. Songak
 
Mt. Songak is a simple volcano on Jeju Island which has double craters and a parasitic volcano. Crater 1 is about 500 m in diameter, 1.7 km in circumference. Crater 2, the mouth of the volcano in Crater 1, is about 400 m in diameter, 69 m in depth and leans vertically. From Sanyisu-dong to the summit and ridge of Mt. Songak there are various trails along the coast and on the volcano. Mt. Songak is one part of olle road route 10. Mt. Songak makes a shore cliff to the south, and the south part of crater forms a lowand flat grassland in front of which lie slopes. Black and red volcanic ash still remains inside the crater.

The volcanic island of Jeju has an outstandingly beautiful natural environment that is significant for its geological features and ecological value. In 2007, Jeju Island was listed as a UNESCO Natural Heritage Site under the name of "Jeju Volcanic Island and Lava Tubes". This includes Mt. Hallasan Natural Reserve, the Geomunoreum Lava Tube System and Seongsan Sunrise Peak. You can have a firsthand experience of two of UNESCO Natural Heritage Sites by joining in this program.

•  Haenyeo Museum
 
Haenyeo refers to female divers who dive into the ocean water to gather various shellfish, seaweed, abalone, etc, without using any underwater diving equipment. Jeju has established the Jeju Haenyeo Museum to introduce to the world the unique activities and culture of Jeju's haenyeo female divers. Exhibition Hall 1 is entitled "Haenyeo Diver's Life" and has a restoration of a traditional haenyeo's home, and her meals. Also on display, to show a more realistic view into their daily lives, are the various utensils used by female divers.
 
•  Manjanggul Lava Tube    UNESCO Global Geoparks
 
The lava tube stretches as far as an approximate 7,400 m, its length ranks amongst the top 15 in the world. It is also the largest lava tube on Jeju Island. It is regarded as having significant scientific and heritage value, owing to its excellent condition of preservation despite its age of formation (about 300,000 to 200,000 years ago).
 
•  Jeju Stone Park
 
Jeju Stone Park is an ecological and cultural park that displays the history of stone culture pivotal to the history and culture of Jeju Island.Following the exhibition pathway, visitors will find stone sculptures such as Grandmother Seolmundae and Five Hundred Generals and traditional local thatched-roof houses amidst the forest. Oddly enough, Jeju Stone Museum is located underground so as not to interfere with the natural landscape.Overall, surrounded by beautiful nature, the park offers the unique culture and history of Jeju Island.

Seogwipo Utopia road ~ Lee Jung-Seop Street ~ MaeilOlle Market SeogwipoMaeilOlle Market located in the center of Seogwipo is something of a mecca for tourists in Jeju. This market has been running for the past 33 years. A pleasant atmosphere here is created by the predominantly female stallholders. The market is popular with both locals and tourists. To provide a pleasant shopping experience for visitors, the market is covered, and the floors are paved with rubber. Stalls are well organized so it's easy to find what you want. There is Lee Jung Seob Art Gallery nearby the market. To honor his great artworks, this museum was built in 1995, at the center of the so-called "Lee Jung-Seob's Art Street" (a part of Olle Route 6) in Seowipo, Jeju, which holds a geographically significant meaning for many of his artworks in that he left some of the greatest paintings in the history of Korean modern art during his stay at Seogwipo.
 
•  Saeseom Isand & Saeyeon Bridge
 
Saeyeon Bridge, the longest pedestrian bridge on Jeju Island, was recently built at Seogwipo Port. It connects the main island and the islet of Saeseom and resembles an anchored taewoo, the traditional fishing boat of Jeju, coming home with a boatful of fish and its wide net stretched. Visitors can watch the beautiful LED lighting that changes constantly on the guardrail of the bridge, and walk around the Saeseom Island on a trail and feel the cool oceanic wind while enjoying the views of pine tree forest and the island.
